iPhone, Opera Mini The access Third Largest

Just two weeks counted, since Opera Mini browser was officially entered into the iPhone screen. However, according to a recent report from Opera, the iPhone is now raced into the third largest handset that uses the Opera browser in the whole world.

Opera Software is based on the report titled 'State of the Mobile Web' issue of March 2010, the iPhone is now the third most popular handsets for users of Opera Mini after Nokia and Sony Ericsson handsets.

"Since Apple approved iPhone version of Opera Mini, Opera Mini directly downloaded over a million times, on the first day. And Opera Mini became the best-selling iPhone application in the App Store of Apple," the report said.

Apple iPhone become the largest handset used to access the Opera Mini browser, in the United States, surpassing the BlackBerry device, which previously dominated.

It's affecting a constellation of top 10 countries using Opera Mini. Whereas in the past, the United States is the 8th largest users of Opera Mini, until mid-April, the U.S. shot up into the country's top 5 users of Opera Mini.

Besides the United States, the majority of users of Opera Mini from the UK also access the web through the iPhone. Australia, Korea, Canada, Germany, and Japan, also listed as countries of Opera Mini users who access via the iPhone.

Until March 2010, Opera Mini users worldwide has exceeded 55.2 million people, or an increase of about 140 percent compared to March last year. Indonesia is still the nation's second-largest user of Opera Mini, after Russia.

However, Opera Mini users in Indonesia turned out the majority use Nokia handsets. In March 2010, Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, listed as the top mobile phone using Opera Mini in Indonesia, while the BlackBerry and the iPhone is not so popular here. (hs)
